- Work with teachers, children, learners, families, or colleagues to keep progress and safety on track.
Skills and requirements
- Hold a regular faculty appointment at VIU (BCGEU or VIUFA).
- Master's Degree from an appropriately accredited institution in a discipline related to Vancouver Island University's education offerings and experience teaching in higher educatio.
- PhD from an appropriately accredited institution, experience tutoring student writers, and a willingness to tutor students from across the disciplines.
Confirmed role details
- Meet with students from all disciplines for one-on-one tutorials primarily in-person to help them develop and express their ideas effectively in their writing.
- Update Writing Centre resources as required.
- Work with librarians to determine opportunities for shared workshops.
- Additional detail: Pension support may be included.
