Wind Farm Technician
Wind Farm Technician focuses on maintain electrical substation equipment at wind farms and hydroelectric central power as needed.
What the role involves
- Maintain electrical substation equipment at wind farms and hydroelectric central power as needed.
- Maintaining a record of unplanned production shutdowns in the asset management system.
- Supporting operations on an on-call rotation basis.
- Supporting operations in the replacement of major components with the manufacturer.
- Assisting and participate in site visits by employees, partners, and the general public.
Skills and requirements
- DEP in Electromechanics or equivalent training.
- Knowledge of maintenance and electronic testing equipment (e.g., multimeter, hydraulic torque wrench and various manual and power tools).
- Able to regularly climb 100-meter towers to perform work in the nacelle and hub.
- Able to frequently lift objects weighing up to 60 lb and occasionally lift items weighing up to 100 lb.
