Superintendent, Fleet Maintenance focuses on supervise the day-to-day activities of the automotive maintenance facility staff, assess staff performance.

What the role involves

  • Supervise the day-to-day activities of the automotive maintenance facility staff, assess staff performance.
  • Provide coaching and recommend the selection, hiring, discipline, promotion and demotion of staff.
  • Report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the repair facility and assigned remote postal facilities and make recommendations for improvements and corrective action as require.
  • Monitoring the safety practices of the repair facility, make recommendations to correct or improve its safety, implement safety policies, and investigate all injury-on-duty incidents.
  • Manage, at minimum cost, an inventory of spare parts and supplies.
  • Recommends vehicle repair facility staff training to the Manager and/or Fleet Maintenance Control Officer.

Skills and requirements

  • Possess a valid driver’s license (no graduated or temporary license).
  • Have a satisfactory safe driving record per CPC’s Driver Safety Program , which includes.
  • A) Have not received more than 2 moving violations in last 3 year.
  • C) Have not had license suspension or prohibition of any kind in last 3 years.
