Role overview

Performs diagnostic, therapeutic, and technical functions of the Respiratory Therapy Services within Burnaby Hospital. Performs diagnostic testing, initiates oxygen therapy, and assists with home oxygen therapy.

Maintains documentation on treatments given to patient, equipment parameter settings/values and patient/equipment observations. Current CPR Certificate, Professional Level C.

Requirements

• Performs cardio-respiratory physiological measurements and calculations, invasive and non-invasive, as required.
• Assists with inservice education sessions on respiratory care and related respiratory equipment to nursing, medical, and other hospital personnel as required.
• Qualifications Education and Experience Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program.
