What the role involves

• This position requires support to both the Markham site and the Uxbridge Site.

• This role is a progressive approach where the scope of the RT is maximized and fully integrated into managing patient care along with the rest of the interprofessional team.
• As a member of the corporate Respiratory Therapy Department, you will support both our Markham and Uxbridge Hospitals, primarily the Uxbridge Emergency Department.
• Will also provide some support to the Uxbridge Med/Surg inpatient unit for patients with respiratory care needs and in a critical care response capacity in a deteriorating patient.

Skills and requirements

• Current registration with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario and preferred membership to the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists and/or the Respiratory Therapy.
• Minimum 1 year of RRT work experience in acute care.
• Current BCLS, ACLS and NRP are mandatory.
• Proficient computer skills.
