• Follow safeguarding, medication, documentation, or care-plan requirements where they apply.

Skills and requirements

• Current CPR Basic Rescuer required.
• New Nursing grads must have completed Collaborative Learning Unit (CLU), or final preceptorship on Pediatric Inpatient.
• Knowledge of physiology and psychology of children aged newborn to 16 years.

Candidate fit

• Clinical judgement, NMC standards, calm communication, and careful documentation.

Additional role context

• Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrated ability to organize assigned workload and set priorities.
