Power BI and Azure Platform Engineer focuses on fabric & azure integration: design and implement data ingestion pipelines (etl/elt) using fabric data factory, dataflows gen, and azure data factory.

What the role involves

• Fabric & Azure Integration: Design and implement data ingestion pipelines (ETL/ELT) using Fabric Data Factory, Dataflows Gen, and Azure Data Factory.
• Data Modeling & Storage: Create Lakehouses, Data Warehouses, and Notebooks, utilizing Delta Lake best practices for data storage within One.
• Power BI Enhancement: Develop complex, high-performance Power BI semantic models and reports using DAX and Direct Lake mode.
• Platform Administration: Manage capacity, workspace settings, security, RBAC, and data governance across the Microsoft Fabric tenant.
• Performance & Scaling: Monitor workload utilization, optimize Spark jobs, and optimize SQL queries for large datasets.
• Migration: Lead migration from legacy systems (, Azure Synapse, SQL) to Fabric.

Skills and requirements

• Platform: Microsoft Fabric (full suite) and Microsoft Azure (Data Factory, Azure SQL).
• Languages: SQL, Python/Py.
• Analytics: Power BI (DAX, Power Query, Data Modeling).
• Data Lakehouse: Delta Lake, Data Engineering concepts.
