Physiotherapy Assistant

This Physiotherapy Assistant opportunity is built around assisting the supervising physiotherapist in performing various components of the treatment plans for individuals living in residential care communities. It would suit someone who can bring patience, clear communication, and care for residents or service users to the role.

Perform various treatments as prescribed and directed by the supervising Physiotherapist including but not limited to gait training, balance exercises. Transfer training, range of motion, strengthening, application of modalities.

What you would be doing

Assisting the supervising physiotherapist in performing various components of the treatment plans for individuals living in residential care communities.

What you need

• PTA/OTA diploma, degree in Kinesiology or a similar healthcare background.
• Previous experience within an LTC setting an asset.
• A valid Vulnerable Sector screening check (within 6 months).
