Skills and requirements
- Provides instruction, feedback, and supervision to students as required.
- Qualifications Education and Experience Graduate of an approved school of Physiotherapy from an accredited university.
- Care Professionals of BC and eligible for membership in the Physiotherapy Association of British Columbia (PABC).
- Broad knowledge of other health care disciplines and their role in client care.
Candidate fit
- As a member of the interdisciplinary team, makes recommendations for treatment, to ensure quality patient/resident care.
- Participates in interdisciplinary, departmental and professional development to ensure awareness of current developments of evidence based physiotherapy practice.
Additional role context
- Provides clinical physiotherapy treatment, including, assessment, problem identification, setting treatment goals, treatments and re-evaluation of patients/residents.
- Educates patients/residents and their families in aspects of the physiotherapy treatment.
- Demonstrated ability to assess and treat diversity of conditions commonly seen in the relevant area of practice.
