Mechanical Engineer

Mechanical Engineer focuses on resolve issues using problem solving techniques and/ or tests to support current products.

What the role involves

• Resolve issues using problem solving techniques and/ or tests to support current products.
• Develop new and innovative products.
• Test, and execute mechanical and/ or electromechanical solutions for components, assemblies to meet project or department goals from exploratory phase to production release.
• Managing design and execution of assigned engineering tasks to meet project timeline, participate and/or lead technical design discussions.
• Support and mentor junior engineers and engineering technicians.
• Use Mechanical Engineering principles of statics, dynamics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluids, and material science to develop design solutions for various STERIS IPT products.

Skills and requirements

• Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree required.
• A minimum of 5 years of related engineering experience.
• Expertise in 3D CAD software (Creo preferred) and product life management tools (Windchill preferred).
• Experience with Finite Element Analysis, Computation Fluid Dynamics etc. (ANSYS preferred).
