What the role involves

• Mechanical Designer focuses on as a mechanical designer at brave, you will work in a team to develop.
• Construct and modify CAD models per customer CAD standards using one or more of the following systems: Inventor, Catia, Unigraphics, FIDES, AutoCad, and Solidworks.
• Estimate design hours for tool concept to design and release for original content as well as changes.
• Project timelines. Develop creative and innovative engineered solutions that meet or exceed customer requirements.
• Perform necessary engineering calculations and proper material selection to satisfy the required design functionality.
• Coordinating any structural and/or finite element analysis that need to be performed for assessing the functionality of the tools designed.

Skills and requirements

• Post-secondary diploma or degree in related field.
• Willing and able to travel to customer facilities (USA, Mexico, Canada).
• 5+ years of direct experience and demonstrated capabilities in Concepting, 3-D Design, and 2-D Detailing for manufacturing and assembly tooling.
• Experience in one or more of the following industries: automotive, aerospace, construction, heavy equipment manufacturing.
