MCS Quality Assurance Auditor
As a MCS Quality Assurance Auditor, the work centres on delivering a structured programme of cyclical, planned and risk-based audits across a defined percentage of work in progress (WIP) and completed installations. It would suit someone who can bring careful technical judgement and practical problem-solving to the role.
Where ownership sits
Manage the quality of installation works and on-site compliance across all heating workstreams, including gas and renewable technologies. Is responsible for delivering strategically planned, risk-based auditing, alongside coaching, mentoring and site-based support for all employed, self-employed and subcontracted ope.
Technical work involved
Delivering a structured programme of cyclical, planned and risk-based audits across a defined percentage of work in progress (WIP) and completed installations. Undertake targeted and random audits of operatives and subcontractors based on risk, performance trends and compliance requirements. 6-monthly) technical audits across all operatives to ensure consistent standards of installation quality and compliance.
Technical skills and experience
- Carry out desktop audits of job packs, certification, photographic evidence and system records to validate compliance and accuracy.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a technical quality, compliance or supervisory role within heating, retrofit or a related field.
- Demonstrable experience in coaching, mentoring and supporting operatives, subcontractors and teams to improve performance and compliance.
