Machinist focuses on operate cnc 5-axis and horizontal milling centers.

What the role involves

• Operate CNC 5-Axis and Horizontal milling centers.
• Use GibbsCam to develop efficient tool paths and machining and fixturing strategies.
• Inspect machined parts against technical drawings recording measurements in ERP.
• Produce detailed setup instructions for first time setups inside ProShop ERP.
• Maintaining a clean and organized workspace and machine.
• Ability to work in a team environment to support other machinists and operators.

Skills and requirements

• Minimum 3 years of 5-Axis CNC Programming.
• Experience working with tight tolerances (microns to 5 thou).

Confirmed role details

• This is a full-time position on our Day Shift 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday (opportunities for overtime as desired).
• The range for this position is $35-40/hr before bonus opportunities and comes with a great benefits package.
• Paid vacation starting at 2 weeks, 3 weeks at 5 years.
• Paid sick days 5 days.

Additional role context

• Our milling department boats eleven CNC machines including 7 Mazak’s, 2 Haas, and one YCM.
• A mix of 3, 4 and 5 axis verticals and horizontals milling machines covering a wide capability set for milling small and medium sized parts all the way up to parts 84” in length.
