Machinist

The Machinist position centres on operating CNC 5-Axis and Horizontal milling centers. It would suit someone who can bring careful technical judgement and practical problem-solving to the role.

Role overview

Our milling department boats eleven CNC machines including 7 Mazak’s, 2 Haas, and one YCM. A mix of 3, 4 and 5 axis verticals and horizontals milling machines covering a wide capability set for milling small and medium sized parts all the way up to parts 84” in length.

Main responsibilities

Operate CNC 5-Axis and Horizontal milling centers. Use GibbsCam to develop efficient tool paths and machining and fixturing strategies. Inspect machined parts against technical drawings recording measurements in ERP.

Requirements

• Ideal candidates will also have strong experience programing and setting on horizontal milling machining.
• Minimum 3 years of 5-Axis CNC Programming.
• Experience working with tight tolerances (microns to 5 thou).

Job details

• This is a full-time position on our Day Shift 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday (opportunities for overtime as desired).
• This position offers competitive pay based on experience.
