Learning Support Assistant focuses on supporting lessons, learning activities, behaviour, assessment, or childcare routines according to the role.

What the role involves

• Supporting lessons, learning activities, behaviour, assessment, or childcare routines according to the role.
• Work with teachers, children, learners, families, or colleagues to keep progress and safety on track.
• Responsible to: The Principal through the Learning Support Co-Ordinator and/or the Head of Finance and corporate Services.
• We currently have a vacancy for the new academic year to support a year 10 student’s educational and personal development under the guidance of subject teachers and the Learning Su.

Skills and requirements

• Relevant teaching, classroom, childcare, QTS, SEN, safeguarding, or early-years experience may be required.
• However, flexibility will be required to assist other students as necessary.

Candidate fit

• Patience, clear communication, classroom awareness, and confidence supporting learners.

Additional role context

• The student presents with a range of complex needs, the overarching of with being social, behaviour and emotional wellbeing difficulties.
