General Labourer

The General Labourer position centres on cutting, measuring, sorting and stacking wood products. It would suit someone who can bring clear communication, reliability, and practical judgement to the role.

Where the work sits

Full-Time10 hour shifts, Monday through Thursday 6am-4:30pm$23/hr. Perform housekeeping duties in work area to ensure a safe and clean work environment.

Site work involved

Strict adherence to all health and safety requirements including regular attendance at safety meetings. Cutting, measuring, sorting and stacking wood products. Manually feed machines in the peeling and chipping process of wood products.

Practical details

• Full-Time Position.
• Must be flexible to accommodate operational and scheduling requirements.
• Occasional overtime and/or weekend work may be required.
• Lumberton, BC, is located southwest of Cranbrook (approximately 10 to 15-minute drive from Cranbrook).

Construction skills and requirements

• Able to accurately count and identify various lumber products.
• Good hand eye coordination and ability to maintain concentration and focus for long periods.
• Ability to work safely around moving machinery.
