• Candidates we are looking to join our group will need to be eligible for FRCPC (Internal Medicine with the Royal College of Canada) and eligible for licensure with the CPSBC.

Confirmed role details

• 5 service weeks per year, covering Monday - Sunday from 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
• Additional internal medicine evening fly-in coverage: 4 shifts.
• Month, covering new referrals 5:00 PM–11:00 PM and ward issues 5:00 PM–08:00 AM.
• The Division of Internal Medicine at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital (NRGH) is seeking full-time General Internal medicine Specialists to join our group.

Additional role context

• There are sub-specialists within the hospital including Cardiology, Hematology, Gastroenterology, Hepatology, Nephrology, Infectious Disease, Respirology, Geriatrics, Neurology, En.
• The hospital has a large hospitalist service (/ patients) and is the backbone most responsible physician (MRP) service.
• Although we have a limited on-site cardiology group, there is timely access to a large cardiology group in Victoria.
