What the role involves
- Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge is located 1-hour drive from Calgary’s city limits nestled amidst the pines where luxury and mountain living blends seamlessly.
- Cook complete meals, individual dishes and foods.
- Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities in a restaurant establishment.
- Maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.
- Supervise activities of 2nd and 3rd.
- Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins.
Skills and requirements
- 1-2 years of commercial cooking experience.
- Requires prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift in kitchen and storage areas.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items up to 25–50 lbs (e.g., bulk food products, stock pots, kitchen equipment).
- Manual handling of heavy cookware, including full stock pots, sheet pans, and hotel pans.
Confirmed role details
- This position is full-time 30-40 hours per week, permanent with an hourly rate range of $20.60 - $22.70.
- Vacation is accrued starting on your first day of work at a rate of 4% of your earnings.
