Early Childhood Educators (ECE) focuses on assisting with the planning and implementation of daily activities, experiences and routines for our children ages 0 – 5 years.

What the role involves

• Assisting with the planning and implementation of daily activities, experiences and routines for our children ages 0 – 5 years.

Skills and requirements

• We are seeking a qualified and passionate Early Childhood Educator (ECE) to join our Nutsumaat Lelum Child Care Centre team, working inclusively and respectfully with our children.
• Create daily opportunities for children to experience the world around them through artistic activities, oral storytelling, drumming and singing, movement and following the seasona.

Additional role context

• Include: Learn hul’q’umi’num’ language and participate in daily cultural practices & protocol with the children.
• Participate in daily duties including supervision of clean-up, toileting, lunchtime, outdoor play and naptime.
• Keep records of relevant information about the child’s day including anecdotal notes and observations.
