Design Engineer

Design Engineer focuses on produce engineering design deliverables for a range of projects in collaboration with the wider engineering team.

What the role involves

• Produce engineering design deliverables for a range of projects in collaboration with the wider engineering team.
• Provide technical support and guidance throughout project execution.
• Liaise directly with clients to understand project requirements.
• Develop effective design solutions.
• Preparing detailed 2D and 3D engineering designs in line with relevant ISO standards.
• Review and approve design packages prepared by other team members where appropriate.

Skills and requirements

• Proficiency in 2D and 3D design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and/or SolidWorks.
• Previous design experience within a mechanical engineering, manufacturing, or construction environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships.
• Third level engineering related qualification is desirable.
