Daycare teacher focuses on develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children.
What the role involves
- Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children.
- Leading activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs and taking children to local points of interest.
- Assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits.
- Preparing snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
- Prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor.
- Maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children.
Skills and requirements
- Relevant teaching, classroom, childcare, QTS, SEN, safeguarding, or early-years experience may be required.
Confirmed role details
- Work Term: Permanent.
- 15 to 40 hours per week.
- Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
