Community Engagement Intern focuses on whether you work in the aircraft or at one of our six bases, everyone at stars plays a vital role in helping to provide critical care, anywhere.

What the role involves

  • Whether you work in the aircraft or at one of our six bases, everyone at STARS plays a vital role in helping to provide critical care, anywhere.
  • Assisting in building STARS’ presence in the community by fostering relationships with volunteers and very important patients (VIPs) in the communities we serve.
  • Assisting in coordinating internal and external event meetings, including preparing agenda, creating, and distributing an invite, taking minutes, and sending out action item reques.
  • Connect with local businesses across the province to solicit event prize donations and silent auction items.
  • Liaise with Foundation colleagues to support internal and external fundraising events across the province.
  • Discover how our Foundation team drives support for life-saving missions across communities.

Skills and requirements

  • New grad or student currently enrolled in a post secondary institution.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a mature, professional, and calm demeanor.
  • Advanced time management skills, ability to thrive with multiple priorities of focus.
  • Experience organizing events and working with volunteers in the community.
