What the role involves

• Classroom Assistants assist with the educational progress and the pastoral care of the pupil with special educational needs who is/are in the teacher’s care inside or outside the c.
• Classroom Assistants are responsible, in the first instance, to the teachers, Head of Learning Support and, ultimately, to the Headmaster and Board of Governors.
• The duration of appointment is subject to review and is dependent upon the continuation of funding from DENI for each student.
• Application is by submitting a Curriculum Vitae, a covering letter and a Monitoring Questionnaire.

Confirmed role details

• These permanent posts, commencing in August 2026, are for a number of positions for students from Year 8 to Year 13, with contracts varying from Part Time or job share to Full Time.
• £28,142 to £29,540 per annum, pro rata.
• Pay is as per the NJC scale.
• Please indicate in the covering letter whether you are interested in Part Time/full-time/job share.
