Classroom Assistant focuses on ensure their safe transition to and from transport at the end of the day.

What the role involves

• Ensure their safe transition to and from transport at the end of the day.
• To meet designated pupil(s) on arrival at school.
• To provide in-class support in accordance with guidance from the Head of Learning Support and subject teachers.
• To prepare, adapt, and organise appropriate learning resources to meet the needs of individual pupils.
• To support individuals and small groups in targeted learning activities, including literacy, numeracy, and handwriting.
• To accompany pupil(s) between classes, ensuring their safety, engagement, and readiness to learn.

Skills and requirements

• Relevant teaching, classroom, childcare, QTS, SEN, safeguarding, or early-years experience may be required.
