HGV Class 1 Driver focuses on perform comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip inspections of all assigned equipment to ensure roadworthiness and safety compliance.

What the role involves

• Perform comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip inspections of all assigned equipment to ensure roadworthiness and safety compliance.
• Maintaining accurate logbooks and delivery documentation in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and management regarding delivery status, delays, or issues.
• Managing time efficiently to meet delivery schedules.
• Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly.

Skills and requirements

• Valid Class 1 Driver's License.
• 2 years of experience (For LCV Qualifications).
• Mountain qualified (will train the right candidate).
• 1 year of pick-up and delivery experience as an asset.

Additional role context

• We are looking to hire a "Class 1 Roamer Driver" based out of our Red Deer, AB terminal.
• The roamer covers assigned positions, including LCV linehaul or pick-up and delivery operations in Western and Northern Canada.
• Execute proper load securement procedures in accordance with transportation regulations and company standards.
